The verb 'be' is an irregular verb used when used in the Simple Present Tense. It is essential because it forms the basic English sentences. The verb is used to describe identity, conditions, emotions, etc. 'Be' changes to am, is, are- depending on the subject. It also functions as a helping verb in more complex structures.

For admission to BA Honors English at dU (University of Delhi), you should not depend on the preparation of 4 specific subjects (like English, Chemistry, Biology and Physical Education) apart from the General Test. The admission process often requires the Common Test (CUET), which includes tests of English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and other subjects. So, if you focus only on these 4 subjects, it may not be enough for the admission process.
