To Clear NDA 2024, you need to start your preparation from this point only .

NDA stands for National Defense Academy, the training institute for the cadets of the 3 defence lines of India (Army, Air Force, Navy). At the same time, the NDA exam is the whole selection process to find suitable candidates for the academy to train there and join their respective academies. This exam is conducted twice a year and contains a written test and an interview.

NDA occurs twice in an year, so 6 months preparation is required .

It is advised that candidates must not rely only on SNAP books but also practice previous years SNAP question papers and mock tests. For English, they must read various fiction and non-fiction books. SNAP authorities provide official mock tests a month before the exam and candidates must practice the SNAP mock tests at least once. Apart from the books available for general english preparation, candidates can also prepare using these materials: newspapers, journals, and English news channels. This would help improve overall vocabulary and increase general knowledge as well. Candidates can also read different novels as per their interests. Candidates can also try and resource the books as study material recommended by the past year’s toppers. Also, try to practise NPAT mock tests to familiarise with the test software beforehand.

General English section of NPAT exam does not require rigorous preparation if the candidate have good hold on English Proficiency. The books that will help the candidate to prepare for NPAT General English section include:

  • Word Power Made Easy By Norman Lewis
  • Objective General English 01 Edition By R. S. Aggarwal
  • Proficiency in Reading Simplifying the Passage for you by Ajay Singh

In this section candidates must prepare these topics as they carry most weightage:

  • Error Recognition

The best way to keep a check on your time management skills is by practicing as many AIBE question papers and sample papers as posible. Although there is no sectional weightage in the exam, it is advised that you allot yourself time to attempt each question during practice. Also, you must complete attempting all the questions within 3.5 hours.  You should practice one mock tests every week to excel in the exam.
