MBA in finance is a better option, SAP is used in some of the financing activities like Costing. Many companies, NBFCs, banks are living towards latest technology and 'FinTech' is a new buzz word in the market. So, you can very well choose MBA in finance.

The average package is Rs 5.5 lakhs annually. The starting salary cannot be fixed. It entirely depends on your performance. You can get even the highest package if you perform well.
As marketing students are more in number so there are more companies for marketing. But all the students get placed from all the departments.

Hi Vilas, It is very important to understand that PGDFM is an autonomous course and you would not stand as post graduate ever after doing the same as it is not recognised. A lot of institutes these days have started offering autonomous courses but there cannot be any progression, they merely act as knowledge classes but on the basis of this Diploma you would not get any job or preference in the industry. I would suggest going for MBA in finance or PGDM (AICTE approved) in Finance.

Both have their pluses, as both degrees provide knowledge about the financial industry. However, there is a substantial difference between them. While the Masters in Finance provides more general knowledge and is better suited for those who practise in more general fields in the business and financial sector, the CFA programme is particularly tailored to those who need more specialised skills, such as investment analysis, portfolio strategy and asset management.

Hi Rohan,
You will be best one to answer this question. Suggest you to go through the program curriculum of both the specialization, try to understand what each of them means and what the career outcomes would be. MBA Strategic Management will train you towards strategic thinking, strategic implementation, Strategic Management of Human Assets, etc. while MBA in finance will train you for a finance oriented career, you will require excellent skills in numbers and mathematics.
