Seeing the last year trend, the placement record for MITSOM is more than IIPM. Talking about your chances to get in, it is still tough to get. Your rank should be around 4800, you can expect college.

Yes, you can take admission in MBA finance also through distance. The criteria is graduation, which you have completed. You just need to apply in colleges which provides distance MBA in finance and they will conduct exams semester wise.
