GIBS Business School has a focus on strong industry engagement through experiential-based learning as opposed to traditional methods of classroom education There is a high emphasis on "learning by doing", where students are able to work with real business challenges, presentations, projects and entrepreneurial endeavours.

One very unique programme at GIBS is their Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship (IRE) School, which is involved in the PGDM Programs.

What is the IRE Program?

The IRE acronym stands for:

This programme has been designed in a way to provide practical action-based learning where students have the opportunity to develop:

•  Startup concepts
•  Research Projects
•  Business plans
•  Working Product Prototypes
•  Investor Pitch Presentations

The IRE Program has dedicated Fridays for IRE activities, workshops, mentoring sessions and interactions with industry experts.

How the Educational Approach Works:

The educational approach taken by GIBS is a combination of:

Each student will be placed into a team that will work together to conduct market research, interact with entrepreneurs and build a business model using tools like Lean Canvas and Design Thinking.
