GITAM School of Architecture, Visakhapatnam, is usually a Tier 2 institute. Well, it has quality education, good infrastructure, and various programmes in architecture. However, it's not nationally recognized or ranked as would Tier 1 architecture schools, like the IITs or top NITs. However being strong at a regional level, it offers good networking, experienced faculties, and proper hands-on training. A good balance of academics, hands-on learning experience, and career support for the students who look to pursue architecture can be seen in GITAM under the category of Tier 2.

For M.Arch program in GITAM School of Architecture, Visakhapatnam, the eligibility criteria is that the student should have possession of a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or an equivalent recognized qualification by the Council of Architecture, India. B.Arch at GITAM School of Architecture , Vishakhapatnam is a 5year UG Program with a fees of INR 2,90,000 per year .Every NATA qualified student are eligible for a concession of 25% in their annual fee.

It is to note that candidates seeking admission into the M. Arch program at GITAM School of Architecture Visakhapatnam must have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with minimum 50% marks. Also required to secure a qualifying mark in the GITAM Admission Test for PG Architecture.
In fact, the range in points to get a GAT might change every year due to variations in the number of applicants and the number of available seats. So I desired a higher GAT score which would make me have a higher chance of getting a seat in the small classes.
