Candidates need to perform NDA registration just once because the procedure requires them to register only for the initial examination attempt. General candidates must pay INR 100 for registration while SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment but should submit a single application form and finish the necessary document upload. After completing their single registration with the UPSC candidates can take the examination more than once while following the UPSC's set qualification requirements without any further registration needed. The registration happens only once and makes applications simpler for candidates while decreasing their administrative workload.
