The selection of candidates for UPPCL JE recruitment is done based on CBT and DV. Those qualifying the CBT are called for DV. Candidates selected for DV are required to provide certain documents.

UPPCL JE exam has negative marking. O.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam. The marks of candidates are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. The qualifying marks are fixed by the examination authority.

UPPCL JE exam is conducted for various posts such as Junior Engineer (Trainee) for Civil, Electrical, Electronics/Tele Communication, etc. posts. Candidates are selected through computer-based tests (CBT). The salary of UPPCL JE is INR 44,900. Besides, candidates are entitled to various allowances and perks.

The merit list of UPPCL JE is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the CBT. The maximum number of candidates to be shortlisted for document verification is equal to two times the number of category-wise vacancies. Candidates need to qualify each stage of selection process.

UPPCL JE eligibility criteria is different for different posts:
Electrical Post
The age of candidates should be between 18 and 40 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (NCL), Ex-Servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, physically handicapped, etc.
Candidates must have passed three years Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering offered by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or equivalent Diploma recognised by the State Government
