The candidates should note that the WBCS main syllabus can be said as the extension of the prelims syllabus because some of the sections are common in both the prelims and main exam. The candidates are suggested to prepare for the main exam with factual orientation so that they can answer prelims questions also. The candidates arre required to check their preparation through the previous year question papers.

The candidates can see below the list of common subjects:

  • History
  • Geography
  • Indian Polity and Economy

Yes, the prelims syllabus is different from the main exam syllabus but there are overlapping topics in both. The WBPSC WBCS syllabus for the prelims and Mains exam is mentioned separately in the official notification. The Prelims exam focuses on testing candidates' general knowledge across various subjects like English, Science, History, Geography, Economics, Polity, Indian National Movement, Mental Ability, and Current Affairs. It consists of 200 objective questions with a total of 200 marks.

West Bengal Civil Service is the prestigious exam of the West Bengal Public Service Commission. It is conducted to recruit Group B Gazzetted, Group B non-gazetted, Group C and Group D posts. The selection process for the WBCS (West Bengal Civil Services) exam consists of three stages:

It is an yearly affair but the Commission is lagging behind in its schedule to conduct the exam as per the prescribed dates.

At times due to the heavy load at the server, SSC CPO admit card page takes time to load. In case SSC does not release the admit card, they should contact the regional offices of the Commission.

The SSC CPO admit card is released online by SSC. The hall ticket carries candidate's name, roll number, reporting time, venue, etc. The hard copy of the admit is not sent to candidates by post.

The candidates would not be allowed to enter the TNPSC Group 4 exam centre without the admit card. They can login with their register number and password to download their hall ticket from the portal.
