No state government hires circle inspector directly. Sub-inspectors are promoted to circle inspector based on their seniority, experience and performance. Eligibility criteria for becoming a sub-inspector is a graduation degree. You are not eligible to become a sub-inspector based on your current educational qualification.

You are eligible to apply for civil services examination after BSW degree provided you have obtained a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university, under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. You must also meet age and other criteria defined by UPSC.

Hello Vivek,
In science, you have engineering and medical. These are the traditional streams students choose. Some new streams are also in demand nowadays like bio- tech, nano technology, agriculture and genetic. Students are also moving in fashion designing and interior designing. Research oriented students can go for KVPY and get into institutes like IISC, IISERs.
There are courses like mechanical/ electrical and computer science in engineering to newer ones like hotel management and fashion designing. You can opt for any of these as per your interest.
