Once you clear your UPSC and get selected for IAS, then you will really enjoy your life. There will be 2 years of training in Mussoire (UP). After becoming an IAS, you will get a bungalow or you will be allotted a house in IAS quarters, free electricity, government car and salary of IAS officers has also been upgraded according to 7 grade pay scale.

If you want to become an actor, then why you want to prepare for civil? If you want to become an IAS just for money and power, then I would suggest you to go for acting instead of IAS because you don't have real passion to become an IAS.
If you have real passion and you want to become an IAS for the social development, then you will really love your job.
