Students from 7th sem become eligible for placements. Companies such as tata, tisco, tcs etc., come for placements and take the students in bulk. The highest package offered was INR 18 LPA and average is INR 5 lpa. Almost 75 to 80 percentage of students get placement.

G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, also known as Pantnagar University, is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawahar Lal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the "Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University" (UPAU). Later the name was changed to "Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology" in 1972 in memory of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, statesman and Bharat Ratna recipient Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. First agricultural University established by Former Prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1960. Earlier it's name was Patnagar University but later the name was changed to "Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology" in 1972 in memory of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, statesman and Bharat Ratna recipient Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. The University lies in the campus-town of Pantnagar in Kichha Tehseel and in the district of Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. The university is regarded as the harbinger of Green Revolution in India.

GBPUAT offers M.Sc courses which accept the admission through CUET conducted by NTA and Entrance Exam conducted by University.
Although CUET rank and cut offs marks are considerd for admission in M.Sc
The basic requirement for all the courses is a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. Admission to all the courses is done on the basis of merit secured in the entrance exam conducted by the university.

There is no official announcement for 2023 M.Sc minimum marks requirement. Based on previous year admission processes, I will provide you some related information.
Master of Science course admission will depend on the merit score and entrance exam. The applicant has a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks. In the university, applicants will get proper learning of every subject and specialization.
Expect the minimum cutoff ranks for M.Sc programs at GBPUAT to be in the range of 400-700 for the General category and 500-800 for the OBC category.

The candidate should have secured at least CGPA/percentile not less than 6.000/10.000 or 3.000/5.000 or 55% marks in aggregate in B.Tech degree. From a recognised University.
Meeting the minimum mark requirement of 50% for the unreserved category (as per Pantnagar University Admission). For B.Sc. in Agriculture Economics, a B.Sc. or B.Sc.
So as per the admission process in B.Sc at GBPUAT there is no strict rule for having better marks in Intermediate, all you need is to secure a good rank in the entrance examination of university (generally held in month of April or may) as per your category.
