G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, also known as Pantnagar University, is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawahar Lal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the "Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University" (UPAU). Later the name was changed to "Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology" in 1972 in memory of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, statesman and Bharat Ratna recipient Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. Master of Science course admission will depend on the merit score and entrance exam. The applicant has a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks. In the university, applicants will get proper learning of every subject and specialization.

Expect the minimum cutoff ranks for M.Sc programs at GBPUAT to be in the range of 400-700 for the General category and 500-800 for the OBC category.

Cutoffs for SC and ST categories might be slightly lower, potentially around 550-850.
