Can you please let me know which college you are looking to pursue English (H) as each university has their own syllabus, it would be difficult for me to tell the syllabus of a particular college. Please let me know which college I would assist you over the same.

No, you cannot do two degree courses at the same time. You need to choose one. It's better if you excel in one subject and have a great future in that.

After BA History (Hons), you can go for Masters and later on Ph.D. You can do some. Research projects and even start write ups. You can go in for teaching or lecturership.
