Yes, you can enrol in SIHM Durgapur's B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration programme without taking the NCHMCT JEE. SIHM Durgapur predominantly employs its own entrance test, the Hospitality Management Admission Test (HMAT), for admission to this programme. While NCHMCT JEE is a common admission exam for several hospitality institutes across India, SIHM Durgapur conducts its own test to evaluate students. It is always a good idea to check the current admission requirements with SIHM Durgapur to ensure you meet all of them.

SIHM Durgapur normally accepts results from the Hospitality Management Admission Test (HMAT) for admission to the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration program. They may also consider scores from other relevant entry tests, such as the National Council for Hotel Management Joint entry Examination (NCHM JEE), but the primary focus is usually on their own entrance exam.

Hospitality is a thriving industry. Candidates can get into this industry and have great career growth after BSc hospitality and hotel administration course completion. According to a report by IBEF, international hotel chains are expanding in India and are expected to control around 50% of the country's tourism and hospitality.

This clearly shows that there will be a rise in demand for workers in the upcoming years, making now the ideal moment to choose this three-year adventure. For this reason, among others, it is one of the best management programmes available after high school.

The course curriculum of both, the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) as well as BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is almost similar. After completing a BHM course, one can join the hotel and tourism industry. However, after completing a BSc in Hotel Management course, candidates can also join the airline industry.

The BSc in Hotel Management offers a general overview of the industry rather than concentrating on specialised subjects. It is more technical and has an impact on the fundamentals of hotel management. BHM focuses primarily on the management processes and activities involved in hotel management.
