The MAH HMCET Syllabus 2026 will be shared by the Maharshtra CET Cell. The MAH HM CET Question Paper 2026 will include questions from following subjects:
- English Language
- Reasoning (Verbal and Arithmetic)
- General Knowledge & Awareness including questions on current national, international affairs, culture, trade & commerce, sports, scientific inventions and discoveries, travel/tourism etc.

MAH HM CET does not have negative marking. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded to the candidate but no marks are deducted for wrong answers or unattempted questions. The total marks of HM CET are 100 and candidates need not worry about making incorrect attempt. They must however avoid random selection of options as correct answers. They should take time in understanding the question and then choose the option.

Qualifying the MAH BHMCT CET will lead to admission in all Government Aided Institutes and all Un-Aided MHMCT in Institutes of Maharashtra offering 4 years Bachelor of hotel management and catering technology course. The exam pattern for this common entrance test is as follows:
Mode: The exam is held as a Computer-based test
Exam Timing: 10 am to 12 pm
Language of the question: All questions in the exam are asked in English only
Total number of questions: The exam shall have a total of 100 questions

The Common Entance Test Cell, Mumbai counselling process of MAH HM CET 2025 for BHMCT course will begin once the MAH HM CET Result is announced. The MAH HM CET 2025 merit list will be made avaiable on the official website; i.e. cetcell.mahacet.org. MAH HM CET 2025 counselling will be conducted in a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) to allot UG and PG HMCT seats.

MAH HMCET Exam was held in a computer-based test held across selected cities in Maharashtra. MAH BHMCT CET carried 100 questions of 100 marks, whereas, MAH MHMCT CET carries 50 questions of 100 marks. Moreover, there was no negative marking in both the common entrance tests. Both the tests had questions to test the candidates' aptitude for the hospitality sector.

The Indian Institute of Hotel Management and Culinary Arts (IIHMCA) in Hyderabad can admit 100 students to its three-year Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) program. The annual tuition fee is INR 1,00,000.
IIHMCA was established in 2001 as a private educational institution to offer higher education in hotel management. It is accredited by the Educational Institute of American Hotel and Lodging Association (EIAHLA) and the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education.

Candidates can pursue Hotel Management in Kolkata at undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels. Given below are the basic Hotel Management eligibility criteria required for both levels.
- UG level: Candidates should clear Class 12 in any stream from a recognised board. Candidates who have studied English as a core language are sometimes preferred at the time of college admissions.
- PG level: Candidates should clear graduation from a recognised college/university with at least 50-55 per cent aggregate. Candidates who have completed their graduation in Hotel Management are sometimes preferred at the time of PG admissions.
