Hotel management is much better than Food Technology. It has good job prospects. Average Salary per month is from Rs. 20,000- Rs. 50,000. For fresh graduates, it depends on your designation. You may work in great hotels Like Taj Group of Hotels, International hotels etc. , with a post like Duty Manager, General Manager etc. And, later on you may become entrepreneur & open your own hotel or restaurants. You can do Diploma in culinary arts or degree (BSC in culinary art) according to your condition.
In my opinion, you should do Diploma in culinary arts.

Yes you can, you would have to do 12th with NIOS board while Diploma in culinary arts because you can't do this Diploma by distance.
