The eligibility criteria for Hotel Management course in Kerala are different at UG and PG levels. The candidates:
- UG Eligibility: Must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with passing marks to be eligible for the UG course. Many colleges also list additional eligibility criteria stating that students must have cleared English as a core subject of study if they want to pursue a hotel/ hospitality management course.

Its consistent high rankings over the years show that it is among the top educational institutions. There are about 3 top Hotel Management colleges in Kerala. Of these, 2 colleges are privately owned and 1 college is owned by public/government organisations. Students can secure admission after passing Class 12 boards or through entrance exam like NCHMCT JEE.
