The M.Tech programme at IIITDM Jabalpur is a two-year, full-time postgraduate degree programme. The course is divided into four semesters and includes core courses, professional communication courses, electives, and thesis work. The name of the subjects offered in the first semester of M.Tech in Manufacturing and Automation are as follows:

Currently, IIITDM Jabalpur has not released the academic calendar for the 2025 batch of M.Tech courses. However, according to the previous batch, the classes for the M.Tech course commenced on Aug 12, 2024. Hence, candidates can anticipate that the M.Tech classes for this year can fall on similar dates from the previous batch.

While preparing the IIITDM Jabalpur M.Tech, the authorities will consider examination and admission-related factors. The listed factors will be checked and considered by the authorities while determining the cutoff of IIITDM Jabalpur M.Tech - previous years' cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, total number of qualified candidates, total number of candidates applying for a specific course or institute, number of seats available for admission, etc. After checking all of these factors, the authorities will prepare the M.Tech specialisation-wise, IIITDM Jabalpur GATE cutoff for M.Tech course.

The candidates admitted through CCMT will be allowed to fill the choice of specialisation at the time of final registration for the M.Tech course. The candidate will be allotted the specialisation based on merit (Gate rank) and availability of seats as per the seat matrix decided by the IIITDM Jabalpur. If the first choice is not met, then the second choice will be allotted.

If two applicants secure the same GATE score for admission to M.Tech at IIITDM Jabalpur, the institute resolve and determine the inter-se-merit of candidates, from the following criteria:

  • In the unlikely event of candidates' year of GATE score being the same, preference will be given based on the All-India Rank (AIR) divided by total appearance in that GATE paper. Candidates with lower value will be given preference.

  • GATE score card in original
  • High School/Secondary School certificate specifying the date of birth.
  • Grade/ Mark sheets of qualifying degree examination for all semesters.

The name of the four-disciplines in which M.Tech specialisations are offered are Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Mechatronics (MT).
