To get admission to MBA course at NIT Rourkel, the minimum eligibility is to get a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate. Eligible students can further fill out the application form via online mode (nitrkl.ac.in). Candidates are shortlisted for this course based on the score in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT. Yes, NIT Rourkela offers equal opportunity to students to apply for the scholarships. Some of the scholarships provided by the university are PMS (Post-Matric Scholarships) (for SC-ST students) given by Orissa Government, Indian Oil Scholarships, and others. NIT is a government university hence the fee is not very high. Even if the students does not find the fee a little high, they can apply for the scholarships provided by the university.

The total tuition fee of NIT Rourkela BSc programme is INR 75,000 which is to be paid over 10 semesters. Each semester a student has to pay INR 7,500 as tuition fee. However, this is not the only fee one has to pay throughout a semester. Extra costs like medical fees, student activity fee, hall establishment fee, etc. are also added in each semester.
Thus the total fees to be paid by a student is close to INR 5.93 lakh, if one adds all the costs in each semester, the average cost each semester for five years is INR 56,500 in which the first and last semester have admission fee and graduation fee, respectively.
NIT Rourkela MSc is a PG level course offered for the duration ranging from 2 years to 5 years. The institute offers MSc on the basis of valid entrance scores such as IIT JAM, CCMN, JEE Main, DASA UG or equivalent. The total tuition fees of the MSc ranges from INR 30K to INR 75K.
No, admission to the M.Tech courses is only through GATE in NITs. There is no other provision for admission.
