Hello Dadu Dayal, It's very nice to hear from you that you have already started thinking of doing your MBA from IIM Kolkata. To have such precise and clear-cut aim is indeed a great trait of a student. Once you have decided on your aim, you can definitely work towards achieving it. You have got reasonably good marks in 10th, 12th and engineering so what is left now is to crack CAT with good marks. Hence I would advise you to study well, take tuition, online coaching and then only appear for this common admission test for IIMs. I am sure once you do this you will get admission in your dream institute.

Hello! There is a reason why a college is called "average". I agree that not everyone can get into these elite B-schools, but it is also equally true that simply on the basis of sheer determination and diligent exam preparation, even academically average students have got admission into these top IIMs. Still, if you end up in an average college (which I hope you won't), then you need to work really hard since there won't be a lot of good opportunities available in such a college, and be in the top 20% of your batch. Eligibility criteria for CAT is a candidate must holds a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. If you wants to prepare for CAT, then you can join any classes or if you don't want to join any classes then you can go for online courses.
