You can get a call from IIM if you lie in high percentile bracket and yes, you should appear for 2019 CAT. If you don't have job experience, it doesn't matter.

Yes, lots of engineering and arts background students give CAT exam every year. If your academic score is good, i.e. above 98 then you have great chances to get into IIMs.

Well, for IIM A, one should have good curriculum percentage throughout 10+2 and graduation. And, with work experience, you have good chances. Score well in CAT exams at least above 95%.

You need to extremely high in CAT as you will be competing with students who have scored 90+ in all the three 10th, 12th and graduation. You can also work and get those work-ex points before you plan to go for CAT.
