Yes, job experience is required in most cases for IIMS. Your degree can be any though. But, being a B.Tech will be much beneficial in terms of prospects and growth.

Both are different. IIM is specialized for MBA and IIT is specialized for engineering, but at present time, lot of IIT and NIT are offering MBA programme. IIM is offering PGP programme in different specialization. All the IITs have very high CAT cut off. IIM SJMSOM IIT B, VGSOM IIT KGP, DMS IIT Delhi are in category with decent placement. All IIM are good except few IIMs, but all IIT has very good infrastructure and job offered.

For MBA, I would suggest you go for IIM because it is the best choice for MBA.

The short-listing criteria for institutes vary. To receive a call from FMS, percentile is the major factor considered.

First of all, IIM doesn't provide purely Bachelor's programme. But, IIM-Indore provides an integrated programme of 5 years which is BBA+MBA. You can get into IIM-Indore after completing your class 12th by giving it's entrance exam, which is IPMAT. The cut off is more than 60% in the aggregate of the subjects. Hi there. 5 years experience in MNC is brilliant. You must appear for GMAT. The cut off varies but you should bring 90+ percentile to get into Premium Colleges like Oxford, Harvard, etc. Also you have the chance to get into Iims of you get more than 98.5 percentile score in CAT if you fall under General Category. But my suggestion to you will be, if you have 5+ years of work experience then you should surely go for GMAT!

Yes, you can do MBA in any stream that you want. There is no disadvantage, as you are doing it after B.Sc. And yes, you are eligible for IIMS also. For that, perform well in CAT exam.
