Hi, you can't get admission in IIM just after completing class 12th. First, you have to complete your graduation, then you will be eligible to give CAT (common aptitude test). You have to maintain above 97+ percentile score, to get a call from IIMs. Also, you should have good marks in your graduation and in class 10+2. So that, the resume is also appealing.

There is no any hard and fast rule that you must have to gain work experience in finance in order to get advantage, however it is always very much beneficial too.
Banking sector
Insurance sector
Stock and share market
Accountant post etc. will be very good thing to add up in your CV.

Hi Adrita,
IIM Bangalore as such does not have any minimum cutoff percentage in class 10th, 12th or Bachelors, which you need to clear. However, it assigns a weight of 50% (20% for 10th, 10% for 12th and 20% for bachelors score) and thus, it would be difficult to get a call from IIM Bangalore (refer to http://www.iimb.ac.in/sites/default/files/iimb-pgp-admission-process.pdf). IIM Ahmedabad on the other hand has a minimum cutoff percentage which is set at 80 percentile score. Thus, looking at your graduation score, it would be impossible to get a call from IIMA (unless you are in top 20 percentile at your college, please refer to https:/

Hello,
The IIMs are the top ranking institutions for management programs. So, obviously the percentile would be higher only.
Usually, the percentile will be above 90 for which you need to have good profile.

Hello! Since the IIMs lay significant weight age to the past academic scores, it's really good that you've scored around 90%. Just try scoring the same percentage marks (around 90) in UG too, which will strengthen your chances of getting an IIM interview call(provided you score well in CAT too). Good luck!
