Admission to various courses is based on merit and scores and entrance examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are CAT, GMAT, GRE etc. If the students have valid scores in these entrance tests, they are exempted from the IIMT Aptitude test. Also, students must have secured 50% in graduation.

JIPMAT eligibility conditions vary for both IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu in terms of gap year while checking Class 10 ans 12 scores. Other eligibility criteria to appear for JIPMAT remains the same, irrespective of the participating institute.

Having a good academic profile for IIM admission is very critical. The top 6 IIMs lay a lot of emphasis on Class 10 and Class 12 score for selection of candidates for WAT-PI round. The academic profile is evaluated again at the time of preparation of final merit list. It has been seen in the past that some candidates despite having 99+ percentile, were not selected for PI round due to low score in Class 12.

The academic profile is assessed for academic as well as gender diversity. Which means a candidate who studied Arts in Class 12 may be selected for PI with lower marks than a candidate who studied Science in Class 12.

Candidates with a valid Bachelor's degree passed with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) can apply for admission and take the entrance test. In addition, the candidates appearing for the final year exams can also apply. It is advised that the candidates keep the important documents (original and copies) ready with them. These are required for verification purposes by the institute.

Yes, you can still get into an IIM, but it depends on which IIM you're aiming for. Some IIMs look at your Class 10 and 12 marks, and some don't give them much importance. Your 65% in Class 10 and 79% in Class 12 might make it a little harder at top IIMs, but if you get a really good score in the CAT exam, you still have a chance to get in. So focus on doing well in CAT.
