IISER Bhopal - Indian Institute of Science Education & Research

The IISER Bhopal is one of the top universities in Bhopal. It was established in 2007. The government announced this university as an autonomous institute. Aspiring students can choose from courses in BSc, BSc and MSc (dual degrees), integrated PhD (iPhD), and PhD offered by IISER Bhopal. The Centre for Research on Environment and Sustainable Technologies (CREST), the Centre for Research in Advanced Technology for Education in Science (CREATES), and the Centre for Science and Society (CS2) are the three Centres of Excellence within the institute. 

There are six hostels available for both male and female students, IISER Bhopal is a fully residential campus. IISER Bhopal is home to 1,716 students pursuing education and 132 faculty members.

The cutoff differs each year based on certain things. The IISER Bhopal offers three admission channels such as the SCB (STATE CENTRAL BOARD), KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana), and IIT JEE Advanced for admission to the BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) programmes. Based on the category rank list that is acquired from KVPY, a common rank list is generated for candidates who apply through the KVPY channel. The highest ranking candidates would be admitted in the courses offered by IISER Bhopal. The JEE (Advanced) category rank list determines the candidates, after they apply through the JEE channel. For applicants using the SCB, they will have a separate cutoff.

For applicants using the SCB channel, a Common Merit List (CML) and a category-wise merit list of candidates are created. IISER Bhopal with 70% in class 12th is also possible.
