For 2022, cut off was 1406 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 3036 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Candidates belonging to the General category with 60% marks and SC/ST category with 55% marks in 10+2 with Science stream are eligible to pursue B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering. The course is divided into 8 semesters and as such, the exams are conducted semester-wise. Aerospace Engineering course fee for the duration of 4 years ranges from INR 65,000 to INR 4,00,000 per annum.
