They must have graduated from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate. Apart from this, seat allotment is done considering the students' performance in academics as a whole. Hence, the college does not offer provisional admission. However, they are required to furnish the documents they need to ascertain their eligibility.

As per the information sourced from the official website of the institute, the deadline to apply for BCA courses at SMIT Manipal University was in June, 2025. From now on, candidates can apply for the BCA course. The deadline also lies around the dates when Class 12 results are usually released. This is suggested that to avoid the rush of the last minute, candidates must apply for the course now, and once Class 12 results are announced, they can attach/submit the Class 12 mark sheet in the application form.
