BN College has not released the course-specific report on BCA placements. As per the latest NIRF report, the median package offered to UG (3-year) students was INR 4.8 LPA. As per some BN College student reviews available on Shiksha.com, TCS, Wipro, Maruti and Guard are some companies that visit the college for placements. According to ta recent review posted by a BCA student, more than 60% of students are placed every year. The highest salary package is INR 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package is INR 4.6 LPA. Another reviewer asserted that the average salary package one can expect is around INR 2.5 LPA to INR 3.7 LPA. On the other hand, some reviewers highlighted the insufficiency of placement opportunities. Hence, it is hard ascertain if BCA placements at BN college are good.

For non-tech students with a B.Sc. in Chemistry, there are many affordable MCA programs that provide strong placements and teaching. Colleges like Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Delhi, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and University of Mumbai are very good. These institutions have a well-structured MCA curriculum and provide great placement support to help students make a smooth transition into the tech field. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University offers an MCA programme here in Pune, which enjoys good teaching and placement possibilities. These colleges catered to non-tech graduates so that they could gain these skills to excel in the MCA field.

VIT Vellore offers admission in B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Data Science on the basis of VIT Engineering Entrance Examination. Though the exact cutoffs are different for the same specializations every year, the cutoff ranks for such similar courses have ranged between 8,000 and 10,000 in the VITEEE. The fee structure for the whole course is approximately INR 7.8 lakhs. Admission is on a competitive merit basis, where the ranks inside the top 10,000 are generally taken into consideration for admission. With a score of 160.5 in TNEA, you have a good chance of securing admission to reputable colleges for B.Tech in Information Technology (IT). The exact college will depend on the cutoff trends for IT in the year of admission, which vary based on factors like the number of applicants and their scores.  

Some colleges that might fall within this range include government-aided institutions and reputed private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Typically, colleges like PSG Tech, Anna University-affiliated colleges, and SSN College of Engineering have higher cutoffs, so it's best to aim for mid-tier colleges if their cutoff trends match your score.
