Admission to MCA is based on Karnataka PGCET followed by an interview round.

A pass in bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST). Candidates with not less than 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST) with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Statistics as optional or electives is required to apply for MCA. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the specified subjects in the pre-University course with 50% marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.

The total seat intake for MCA is 60.

Kalvium conducts its in-house entrance test, which is known as the Kalviness Quotient (KQ) Challenges. Candidates willing to pursue BCA course at Kalvium must appear and qualify this entrance test. The minimum criteria is 50% in 12th boards. You still need to give CET entrance exam. The basic eligibility score is around 50 percent in clas 12th. JIMS also conducts it university exam for JET for getting admission in this college and the cut off marks for JET exam is also considered.
