To get admission into the MCA programme at Anna University, candidates must appear for the TANCET exam conducted by Anna University itself. Eligibility requires a bachelor's degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level. After TANCET results, centralized counselling (TANCA) is conducted where candidates select preferred colleges and courses. Regarding MCA, Christ University (Central Campus) is often ranked higher in terms of the national ranking especially in the Computer applications. In 2025, Christ University was ranked 1 by the India Today in Computer Applications. NIRF overall rank of Manipal University Jaipur is also good (101150 overall in 2024) and the ranking is also good in Engineering. As far as placements are concerned, Christ University provides a median package of approximately INR 6.65 LPA and the maximum of INR 21.46 LPA to 2-year PG courses. Placements at Manipal University Jahipur are also good though average salary of all courses there is approximately 9
