AIMS Institutes admission to MCA programme is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates need to pass Bachelor (3 years)/ master degree examination of any recognised education body in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) or should have secured at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) in Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ Computer Applications/ Electronics as a subject in Class 12 or at degree level to apply for MCA programme. To study a three-year BCA (Science) course at MIT-WPU, candidates have to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the university norms. The minimum eligibility to apply for BCA at MIT-WPU is to pass Class 12 in the Science stream or pass a Diploma in Engineering. MIT-WPU offers a three-year BCA course in Science specialisations. The university also gives options to students to choose a four-year UG programme, where they will be awarded a (Hons.) degree at the course completion. Those who get a UG degree in BCA can build their career as Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Application Architects, etc. The university provides scholarships facility to students based on their merit scores in MIT-WPU CET entrance exam.

Yes, MIT-WPU BCA admissions are entirely entrance-based. The university selects eligible candidates based on its in-house entrance exam, i.e., MIT-WPU CET. The university conducts a common entrance test for the selection of candidates for its UG & PG courses. This exam is conducted in online mode. In the selection process, there is 100% weightage given for the entrance exam and 50% for the personal interview round. Whoever is willing to get admission to this course must qualify for the MIT-WPU CET exam with a valid score.

The University has not released placement data for MCA courses. However, combined placement details are out for the PG (2 years) courses. Out of 323 PG (2 years) graduates, 199 were placed during GBPUAT placements 2022. This makes the placement rate nearly 62%. Earlier, 179 students were placed during 2021 placements, out of 290 graduates. This makes the placement rate nearly 62%.
