I2IT Pune is ranked 139th by Times 2024 for BTech. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are MHT Main, MHT CET, and others. Candidates applying through JEE Main must first register for the JEE Main exam. Then appear for the JEE Main exam.

To be eligible for admission to IIIT Pune M.Tech programme, a candidate must have completed their BTech degree with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Additionally, GATE and CCMT are the entrance exams/ counselling process that are accepted for admission to IIITDM Pune's M.Tech course.

The eligibility criteria to get admission to BTech courses at IIIT Pune is candidates must complete their Class 12 from PCM stream with a minimum aggregate of 75%. In addition, for admission to this course, the students are required to appear and secure good scores in JEE Mains, followed by followed by JoSAA/ CSAB Counselling. The institute offers only two specialisations in BTech courses i.e., Electronics and Communication Engineering and BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. Moreover, the institute started awarding the 'Honors' degree to the bright students in both branches.
