There is no upper age limit set by the Jawaharlal Nehru University for taking admission in the MA course. The minimum age required to enroll in the MA course programme is of 17 years by the 1st October 2025. Basically, by the time of admission, the students should be 17 year of age. Additionally, students must have completed their bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

Yes, you need to appear for domain subject exams through CUET UG to get admission into JNU. JNU requires candidates to appear in both the English test (Section IA) and the General Test (Section III). Admission to M.Tech in CSE and M.Tech in ECE will be done through CCMT counselling while for all other courses through CUET PG. Candidates must ensure that they meet the subject-wise eligibility criteria for JNU M.Tech admission 2025.

For DU and JNU, the expected cutoff for MA Sanskrit is generally between 80-100 for the General category. Nevertheless, cutoffs are subject to variations depending on parameters such as applicant numbers and number of seats. Being a former DU student would not necessarily make a difference. Your score is good, you can easily get admission in both of the colleges.
