Internal exams are of 25% of the total score and are important to pass by atleast 40% in your semester exams. Out of 25 marks 5 are for the college attendance and remaining 20 are for tests and assignments. So it is quite important to try to score well in tests or maintain a healthy attendance of above 85% to get 5 full marks. However if you fail the internals and pass the externals you may or may not pass in your paper for that semester that depends on concerned teachers and your class participation. Hence it is important to take these internals seriously and try to score good

The calculation of CGPA in Jesus and Mary College is same as any other college in Delhi University. CGPA for each year is an average of SGPA scored in the two semesters
For each semester 25 marks are for internals (including 5 for attendance) and remaining 75 are for Main exams. Each subject has specific points allotted based on which SGPA is calculated and hence the CGPA.

There are various fests or events that take place in Jesus and Mary College at regular basis especially in the months of March- May organised by different departments and societies. However there is one annual fest or event for all the departments that may be cultural or otherwise. One such event was held recently in the last week of April 2023 called Cultural Connect with various cultural performances (including a fashion show as well) and stalls

The college doesn't have hostel facility hence no mess for meals. However the college does have a canteen which offers maximum types of food items ranging from a somosa to pasta . The food tastes mediocre and the costs are also moderate. There is a different stall for ice creams or related products which are quite beneficial in hot summers.

There is no specified dress code in Jesus and Mary College, you can wear whatever you are comfortable in. I have seen people wearing all kinds of clothes with no judgments or questions asked and this diversity is what makes JMC amazing.

The admission process of JMC is same as other colleges of Delhi University that is based on the CUET so direct admission is not an option. However there are reservations for Christian and sports students but no direct admission option.

College life in any college depends on various factors. In JMC, college life will mainly depend on the kind of people/friends you meet. It is actually happening for people with group of active friends as there are lot of cafes nearby to visit with your friends. Fests are a regular thing in JMC especially in the month of April / May which gets boring at times but still fun. The campus is beautiful with many picture taking spots and an amazing library.

As a current student at JMC I can assure you there are number of PGs in Satya Niketan are e.g. Stanza Living and others. Satya Niketan is just 10 mins away from the college but crowded, so the next best place would be anywhere in RK Puram (especially sector 1- Prabhatara Hostel). The area is not much crowded and also just within 5 km radius of the college.
