The syllabus of entrance exams like JMI, CUET UG, and others for BA Hons History course revolves around the Current Affairs, Social Science, World History, Indian History, General Knowledge and General Sciences. The braoad division of the questions for the examination is given below: Indian History: 50% World History: 10% Current Affairs: 10% General Knowledge: 10% General Sciences: 10% Social Science: 10% (Other than History) 100 Multiple Choice Questions are asked from the topics mentioned above. The questions are based on the syllabi of Intermediate or Senior Secondary level.

The syllabus of Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam varies as per the level of course. For the undergraduate courses, the question paper's difficulty level will be based on Class 12. Hence, it is not that difficult or students need not study anything additional apart from their school syllabus or Current Affairs. Similarly for postgraduate courses, the difficulty level is based on graduation.

Yes, Jamia Millia Islamia releases the answer key and candidate's response sheet of JMI entrance exam question paper. The link is made available at admission result page within three working days after the exam is conducted. After the release of answer key, students can compare their responses with JMI answer key to calculate their estimates JMI scores.

  • Part A: Written Test (Objective/ MCQs)
  • Part B: Written Test (Subjective/ Descriptive/ Theory)

Candidates will be able to give descriptive paper only when objective test is completed.

Yes, the JMI question papers of different mass communication courses are different from each other. As the questions are based on the courses. The difference of question papers across the courses are normalised at the time of score calculation. However, there isn’t much difference between their difficulty level.
