The overall requirements for BTech in KJ Somaiya is a valid score in JEE Main exam and MH CET score. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining a non-zero positive score in JEE (Main) BTech over the candidates who obtained a non-zero score in the CET. Also candidates must qualify the eligibility criteria:
BTech Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical or Vocational as one of the subjects or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST and PwD candidates of Maharashtra)

KJ Somaiya has mutiple eligibiltiy criteria for its PhD programme, which are as follows:
- The Candidates must have Master’s degree or Professional Degree or Full time Diploma declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding Statutory / Regulatory / Apex body, of Universities which are recognised by UGC with at-least 55% marks in aggregate of all years / all semesters or its equivalent CGPA grade ‘B+’ in the UGC 10 – Points scale or an equivalent CGPA grade in a other points scale wherever grading system is followed
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of CGP

K J Somaiya Institute of Technology Sion Mumbai offers M.Tech at postgraduate level for two years. The M.Tech programme is available in bothe self-finance and sponosred mode. The eligibility criteria differs as per the programme mode candidates wants to pursue.
MTech (self finance): Twelve years of school education with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
