1. Check the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for GNM admission in Kerala vary from college to college. However, in general, you must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry Biology and English as compulsory subjects. You must also have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General Category and 45% aggregate marks for OBC and SC/ST Category. 2. Find a college that offers GNM course. Students need to get D+ grade in the Kerala SSLC exam in every subject to clear the Kerala SSLC exam. Those who fail in the SSLC exam can appear for the supplementary exam. The Kerala board will announce the dates of the SSLC supplementary exam soon after SSLC result. It is expected that the supplementary/improvement exam will be conducted in June 2026.

A student can appear for a total of ten subjects in Kerala SSLC exam 2026, which includes 3 language subjects and 3 non-language subjects: Science, Mathematics, and Social Science. For the first language, there are two papers, part 1 and part 2. The board will conduct three papers for Science subjects: Physics Chemistry and Biology. Students have to attend the practical exam for Information Technology.

No, the Kerala Board of Public Examinations has not released the Kerala SSLC syllabus 2024. KBPE will follow the last years syllabus for 2023-24. The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan will release the new SSLC syllabus on the official website, if any addition or reduction is there. Students can download the Kerala SSLC syllabus from the official website. They can also get the syllabus from their teachers.
