Kerala SSLC Exam 2027: Exam Dates, Syllabus & Pattern

Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam is state-level class 10 board exam conducted by Pareeksha Bhavan. The board is officially known as Kerala Board of Public Examinations (KBPE). Kerala SSLC exam is conducted annually for students studying in Class 10 in government, government-aided, and unaided private schools across Kerala. Those qualifying SSLC exam become eligible to take admission in Class 11, polytechnic diploma programs, ITI courses, and various other vocational training programs in the state.

Kerala SSLC Exam Pattern 2027

As per the Kerala SSLC Exam Pattern 2027, students have to score a minimum of 35 per cent marks to clear Kerala SSLC exams. Students must go through the entire Kerala SSLC Exam pattern as it would help them in knowing the marking scheme, the number of questions and the types of questions generally asked in the exam. SSLC exams are held for a duration of 2.5 hours (English, Social Science and Mathematics). The exam pattern is given below.

Kerala SSLC Syllabus 2027

Kerala SSLC syllabus is based on the Class 10 curriculum of SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training) Kerala. The syllabus carries the chapter-wise topics that students need to prepare for the exam. Kerala SSLC syllabus for different subjects is given below.

Mathematics Syllabus

• Arithmetic Sequences- finding terms, sums, and pattern-based problems
• Circles and Tangents- properties, theorems, and constructions
• Second Degree Equations — solving and applications
• Polynomials — factorization and roots
• Trigonometry — ratios, identities, and heights and distances
• Coordinates — plotting, distance formula, section formula

Social Science Syllabus

• Civics: Indian Constitution, administrative systems, democratic governance, civic responsibilities

English Syllabus

• Reading Comprehension — prose passages and poems from the SCERT reader
• Writing Skills — formal and informal letters, reports, essays, narratives
• Grammar — tenses, pronouns, adjectives, sentence transformation, punctuation, voice and reported speech
• Vocabulary — word meanings, idioms, phrases, word formation

Kerala SSLC Preparation 2027

To ace Kerala SSLC 2027 exam, students need to prepare well. They need to devise a proper strategy and follow it diligently. Here are few tips to crack the exam.

• Students must start their preparation through SCERT textbooks
• Read the official question paper blueprint to know exactly how many marks are allotted to each section
• Know the question types
• Solve at least the last 5 years of Kerala SSLC question papers for every subject 
• Practice model question papers before each exam 
• Plan your revision subject-wise

Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan will release Kerala SSLC admit card 2027 few days before exam. The admit card will be made available through schools. The schools need to download their admit cards online. School heads have to login using their credentials and download the Kerala SSLC hall ticket for all SSLC students. It is mandatory for the students to carry the Kerala SSLC admit card on all exam days. 

Kerala SSLC Exam 2026 exam: Guidelines

• Students should not forget to carry the Kerala SSLC hall ticket. 
• They should reach the exam centre half hour before the time. 
• They should carry the required stationery items and water bottle if needed.
• They must leave for the examination centre keeping in mind the weather, traffic conditions etc.
• They should not carry mobile phones or any other barred electronic items to the examination centre. 
• They should not do any unfair practices.

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan will declare Kerala SSLC result 2027 in May. Students can check the Kerala SSLC Result 2026 through the official website of the state board using their roll number. The 10th Result 2026 Kerala mentions the student's name, roll number, marks obtained in different subjects, grades, etc.

• A result login window will open up on the screen.
• Enter registration number and date of birth in appropriate fields.
• Submit details.
• Kerala SSLC result will appear.
• Save and download it.
