The School of Law has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lawyered, an online marketplace for legal services. It has ties to the Punjab State Legal Service Authority, the Jalandhar and Kapurthala District Legal Service Authorities, and the Punjab Police, among others. The curriculum is designed for students who want to combine legal education with social sciences in order to assist society. For the legal framework, the LPU develops well-trained and devoted specialists. The programme requires 60 percent aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent) to be eligible. If a candidate has not studied English as a subject, the prerequisite of English may be waived if the candidate has studied in English medium during his qualifying test. SC-ST applicants are eligible for a 5% relaxation, whereas OBC applicants are eligible for a 3% relaxation. There is also a 5% concession for applicants from the North East and Sikkim, as well as Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants.
