The LFAT is the popular name for the Law Faculty Admission Test. This entrance exam is conducted by the University of Allahabad for admissions to its five-year integrated LL.B. Programme. LFAT is conducted nationally in pen-and-paper mode. You must have completed the 12th grade with 45% marks to take this exam. Delhi University is well known for its academics in almost every field, including law. The DU has a dedicated placement and internship committee that prepares graduates for a career in law. LL.B. Graduates are offered job opportunities in reputed law firms such as DSLSA, Live Law, Vanta Legal, etc. According to previous year's placement data, graduates were offered an average salary package of around 5 LPA. The majority of DU law graduates prefer to do litigation work under lawyers in various courts. Some others prefer the job of legal consultant and analyst at different firms.

To specialise in a specific field of law, one needs to study law in general taking up a bachelor's in law ( LL.B. in integrated form (5-year course) or after completion of a degree (3-year course) is first step.

After completing your bachelor's degree in law you can be enrolled at Bar and then you can go for for higher studies like LL. M.
