Dear Sir, A lawyer is someone who is a graduate in law. A person who has been to law school and has an LL.B. Degree. A lawyer cannot practice in courts. An Advocate is someone who is enrolled in any of the State Bar Councils in India. Once a lawyer exists on the roll of the State Bar Council and Bar Council of India, he/she will become an Advocate. This enrollment is a license to practice/appear in courts. [1] Without any entrance exam - There are many tier-3 and some tier-2 Law Colleges across India, where admission is done on a first-come-first-admitted basis. No entrance exam.
