Hello Mandar,
Yes, it is possible. You can apply for M.Des after completing BE in computer science. For admission in M.Des, you need to either appear for entrance exam like CEED, GATE, NID, NIFT entrance, NEED, etc.

Yes, you can do M.Des (Animation Film Design) from NID after completing B.Sc in animation. I have got few friends who followed the same path.

I come from the same combination of background, it's going to be fantastic. Industry prefers this combo of mechanical engineering + industrial design (especially when it's about making / manufacturing a tangible product). So, don't worry, just go ahead.

National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad is the best for doing MDes (Animation Film Design). It has been declared as the institute of national importance by Indian government. It's the first and oldest design dedicated institute of India.

M.Des from NIFT offers a variety of placement opportunities. Although, final GPA, NIFT center and your portfolio will play an important role. You can be offered jobs like visual designer, insight officer, design thinker, CSR executive, trend analyst, social and cultural executive, sustainable development officer, culture anthropologist and user experience researcher.

Normally, engineering students stick to their area. I suggest you to go for M.Des., you will enjoy it. You can also go for MBA in operations management or MBA in HRM.
