There is no particular dress code in the college. Students are allowed to wear what they want. However during practical exams and also during internal viva students are expected to come in formal. On the rest days students are allowed to wear clothes according to their choice. There is no strictness regarding clothes or hairstyle in the college.

For first year I would say try to explore the college as well as the city indore. College is a very new experience for everyone. Try making new friends and explore the city. A lot of places near the college are worth going. Some places near the college are chappan, TI mall, Starbucks. For academics I would say try maintaining good attendance atleast 75 percent. Do all the assignments and lab work on time. Try being in the good books of the professor for good sessionals. Try to join different clubs and explore as much as you can. Be regular in your studies. Prepare seriously for mid semester exams. Stay in company of good and hardworkin

Each branch at SGSITS has 80-120 students approximately. However the strength keeps on increasing every year. 10 branches are there in SGSITS including B.Pharma. Every year has 1000-1200 students including all branches. In first year, students from different branches study together but from second year they are segregated based on branches alloted to them.

If someone misses the end or mid sem no re exam is taken mostly. In case of mid semester there is not much loss. But if you miss the end semester then you'll fail that subject and will have to give exam of that subject in next semester. If you fail the end semester exams it will be shown on your report card and number of attempts for an exam are also mentioned.

Nothing happens if you fail the mid semester only there will be bit loss of CGPA. But if you fail the end semester exam you'll have to again appear for it in next semester. 3 attempts are given for individual subject. There are 2 mid semester exams and mostly best of 2 is considered for the final sessional marking. Even if you miss any one of them try scoring good in the other one . But if you miss end semester exam you'll fail in that subject.

No, there is no way of getting direct admission in SGSITS. Admissions are given only on the basis of merit. The only way of getting it is through JEE Mains. However if you have reservation it is an advantage. Home state quota is there so most of the students you'll see will be of MP. Reservations are based on gender as well as caste and also on income basis.
