You really don't want to do B.Tech. But, think wisely you have completed your 1 year in that. Complete B.Tech first. I understand, this is the age we get into conflicts, but I am telling you one thing Indian parents and Indian culture + advice of Indian teachers are very right. I too realized it now. You should first take counseling from your university teacher regarding this matter because they are the best and experienced. I know only one thing that age from 18- 25 is very vulnerable + conflictive age, decision taken in this age must be taken by talking with elders. LLB gives an overview of various subjects, whereas, LLB (Hons) gives more in-depth knowledge of those very subjects.
For Example, there is a separate paper of Human Rights, IT Law, Administrative Law, RTI, etc., in University of Allahabad (offering Hons course) but there isn't any such separate paper in other universities offering LLB course.
After LLB, you may not be able to specialize but after LLB (Hons), you can specialize.

The Bar Council accords no recognition for BL/LLB through distance mode or evening colleges for practising as an advocate. If you want to practice as a lawyer you have to necessarily enrol in a recognised college or university and complete the three-year course in regular mode.

1. The candidates who have appeared for LAWCET and secured a pass grade in LAWCET seek the admission to LLB, 3 years or 5 years course and 2 year LLM (For LLM PGLCET needs to Cleared).
2. The candidates who have not cleared the LAWCET or who have not appeared for it, can also seek the admission to LLB, 3 years or 5 years course and 2 years LLM course directly.
