Candidate must have secured minimum 55% aggregate in Mathematics. Aggregate in Mathematics, one language and two best electives would be considered best four subjects (BFS).
Environmental Education (ISC), Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Painting, Dance, Music, Physical Education, Home Science, Engineering Drawing and all other vocational subjects are not considered as BFS.

I wouldn't suggest such a change in career. You can pursue a Masters in engineering course that focuses more mathematics. However, if you think that you will not be satisfied with that, you can opt for M.Sc. M.Tech in Mathematics and Computing can be good course for you.
