It is not compulsory to have work experience for doing MBA. But, yes it is good if you have work experience, so if you wants to do MBA, then go for it otherwise both are good.

You can have ample opportunities in this field as MBA in Production and Marketing, as this will be best for you since you are a BE graduate in Instrumentation engineering you can even start your own plant after gaining experience in this field.

If you want to get in Project Management, and become a project manager, then PMP certification is very good. But, if you want to do equity research or something which is not inclined to project management, then there is no use of doing it.
