You can take the NET only in the subject of your post-graduation. In your case, that would be chemical engineering. Please go to http://www.cbsenet.nic.in and download and read the information bulletin for more information.

Yes, you can. Many countries and colleges will allow you to apply for B.Tech, but some colleges will allow you to apply for advanced diplomas or so. So, you should start checking college's websites for the requirements and email them also.

Hello Yaswant, It's very nice to know your dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer. But unfortunately Tamil Nadu government or for that matter normally any state government does not permit students from other states to join in degree colleges of their states. Hence even though you may be technically eligible, I doubt if you can get admission there. Your best chance is college in your state or study hard and get admission in IIT which treat Diploma as equivalent to 12th.

The fee depends on in which institute you want to take admission. And the eligibility for mechanical engineering is to have science stream in class 12th along with maths, obviously. Other than that, various institutes have their own entrance examinations based on whether they are government or private. For government institutes, you need to achieve a decent rank in JEE Mains for some good colleges of the nation.

It depends on which course you want to opt for in PG in future.
It can be either MBA, M.Tech or any other course.
For MBA, you have to clear CAT exam to get admission in IIMs.
For M.Tech, you have to clear GATE exam as it is important to clear this exam before applying for M.Tech in colleges and to get a job in PSUs.
