No, you cannot join Medical College Kolkata directly. Admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses like MBBS is based on the marks obtained in the NEET UG entrance exam, and to Post Graduate (PG) courses like MD and MS, the admission is based on the marks obtained in the NEET PG entrance exam. NEET UG exam is mandatory for MBBS admission in Calcutta or India. Hence you have to appear for NEET entrance exam and apply to college using your NEET scorecard. Students must have cleared NEET Entrance exam for admission in the college.

Since UPUMS is a university, it might provide custom question papers, which could make for an interesting exam experience. For the year 2023, the first round cutoff score for MBBS was 326 marks for general category.
Please note the cutoff keeps on changing depending on various factors. The last year cutoff for the same was 300 marks. NEET is the entrance exam considered for MBBS Admissions to this college.
