Medical electronics is a specialized branch for young aspirants who wants to improve the health care. This deals mainly with designing of new medical devices and imaging quality to help the doctors for treatment of the complex problems.
Applying the knowledge and experience of electronics in medical field helps to earn both experience .
Job opportunities - These engineers have job at medical institutions, hospitals and medical device manufacturing companies.
Recruiters are Bosch health care, Wipro health care, Fortis hospital and few other to mention.

Of course it has! They have main scopes in medical instruments manufacturing companies and medical institutions.
This course is equivalent to biomedical engineering. This leads to more practical approach for solving the doctors to treat the patient .This course is emerging with a bright future in India and good scope in other countries.
It's best application is using electronic method to treat most of the deadly diseases.
In short this course is meant to make a difference in Indian health care and delivering a good health.

Your question ! This is what I felt before joining the course.
Medical electronics is a specialized discipline which combines both engineering knowledge and skills with biomedical sciences for improving the health care system in hospitals and medical institutions. This course is like having two degrees; one as a medical professional( a partial doctor) and as a engineer. This course mainly deals with developing new medical devices(like portable ULTRASOUND, digital stethoscope etc) and improving imaging devices(MRI ,CT scan).
