Medical Electronics

Medical Electronics (which is mainly related to designing of medical equipment's) will see a growth in the coming years due to the growth in health care business and new technology inventions in the area but as of now the career scope is decent and not very booming. As this is quite a new field in India, there are not many colleges offering this course. However, few of which you can check are: Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, MS Ramaiah University.
After attaining a degree you would be able to find a job with Hospitals & various medical equipment manufacturers or after gaining some experience start your own manufacturing business.
However, I would also like to add here that if possible you should go for more evolved fields like Electrical or Electronics which will also make you eligible for medical electronics field.

Medical Electronics is a specialised discipline, which integrates engineering with Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Practice. Career options for medical engineers include working in research labs, hospitals for medical equipment maintenance and developing medical software.

Medical electronics engineering is a broader field of study that appeals to aspirants desiring to be technological, and, at the same time, dedicate their careers to saving lives by helping physicians and nurses in their treatment process and patients who are suffering from various kinds of ailments. Aspirants can study postgraduate and research programmes in Medical electronics engineering. Universities all over the globe offer this course. On completion of the course, aspirants can look out for a career in government agencies and also in private sector. Most of the medical electronics engineers work in healthcare facilities, research laboratories, and medical institutes.
